Chi to Ase to Namida – This fic gets massive love because between it and its’ sequel All You Can Know, the game is neatly sandwiched. CAN takes place entirely before the game. FFVII fans know Cloud loses his memory in the game (well, okay, before the game, but that’s not the point), and it’s really cool to watch Cloud uncover his earlier life in AYCK while yourself already knowing the secrets from CAN. Zack/Cloud/Sephiroth.

Spike, etc. – This fic is a three parter (all conveniently located at one page) that seriously had me falling over laughing. Here’s part of why: “Tag team is legal. Or at least I don't allow any rules, so tag team isn't against any of the rules that don't exist!" Zack/Cloud/Sephiroth, but it’s really more friendship than relationship.

Secrets – Cloud’s life gets worse every time I turn around, and in that grand tradition this post-game fic really puts him through the ringer. He may have gotten rid of the Sephiroth clone, but did that really mean Jenova was gone for good…? Features a Cloud/Sephiroth pairing.

A Long, Hard Road – This is, without exception, the single BEST fic I’ve ever read, in ANY fandom. I read this fic before I played the game, knowing only the most basic of details about the game… This fic made me want to play the game by giving me a glimpse at the wonderful qualities of all the characters in FFVII. It convinced me that Cloud/Sephiroth, of all things, was the greatest OTP ever. It’s just… I really don’t have enough words to describe how amazing it is. Author’s Summary: Five years after the end of the game, Hojo is in an all-out war against the Planet and the ShinRa armies, led by now-general Cloud Strife. What will happen, when ShinRa makes a desperate decision to resurrect the very person who nearly killed them all?
