5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

[livejournal.com profile] bard_linn's Questions:

1. What did you like best about China?

...asking me to pick just one thing is really hard, because there was a lot that I loved about it. I think what I liked best about China, though, was the people I met there. I still hear from Nie-laoshi and Su Beiya, aside from the people I run into on campus and in class, and that makes me really happy. The experience in general was just absolutely indescribable... ^.^;;;

2. If you could share one memory with everyone - where they actually experienced it - what would it be?

You wanted to ask me difficult things, didn't you? ::pokes Linn::

Ummm... I'm torn between picking a memory of indescribable happiness, a memory that defined me as an individual so that I could be certain people understand me, a memory of peace, a memory of pain... There's a lot to choose from! ^^;;;

Anyway, I think that I'd like to share my memory of the maze game. In the maze game, two people stand on opposite sides of a maze, and one of them is blindfolded. The person who isn't blindfolded guides the person who is across the room three times, the first time using directions, the second time using sound, and the third time in silence. When I played, I watched four different groups of people make it through the maze (which is rearranged between every time it's used) on all three attempts. My friend Cheryl and I had just finished the second round when the bell rang and we had to leave, but I've never doubted that she could have led me across without a word. The sense of connection and quiet peace in that stillness is something I still remember vividly, and I would want other people to have that connection.

3. If you could change one event in your past, what would it be?

I'm not sure whether making changes would make things better or worse, but leaving that question aside for the moment, I would change either the moment I decided not to stand up for a good friend of mine or the moment I let a different friend leave alone when I was afraid she'd do something drastic. The first wound up being teased for... years, because I wasn't brave enough to stop them the first time - it's still a scar on her heart today, I think. The second tried to kill herself that afternoon, and though she survived, I've never forgiven myself for not doing more to stop her. That's what I'd change.

4. Which would you rather drink: Soda or tea?

I'm rather amused, because a year ago I would have been able to answer this question without thinking, and would undeniably have sided in favour of soda. Nowadays, though, it depends entirely on my mood, and what kind of soda/tea is available, especially since I still don't like iced tea. At the moment, I kind of want tea, so yeah... tea. ^_^

5. What is your dream job?

If I could do absolutely anything, I'd probably want to be a writer. Actually, if I can do absolutely anything, I want to be a fiction writer while serving as a diplomat in some foreign country. 'Cause that'd be hella cool. ^_^;;;

[livejournal.com profile] jeva_chan's Questions:

1. Are you one of the ones that will die the way Linn did?

For those who missed it, Linn died by "laughing too hard at a vicious crack pairing involving Squall Leonhart, Cloud Strife, and one of those cactus things in the Final Fantasy games. No one was able to figure out what was so funny because Squall and Cloud seem to be a legitimate pairing if one plays the Kingdom Heart games, but many were saddened by her passing." In theory I could die that way, but I'm gonna say no for the moment. ^.^;;;;

2. What's your favorite pairing (doesn't have to be a ship, just a pairing)?

Hmmm... This is hard because it doesn't have to be a ship, and I have loads of friendship pairs I love. ^.^;;; At the moment, I think my fave is actually Roxas & Axel, possibly because so little is known about them and probably because what is known makes for a very interesting dynamic. This is, of course, always subject to change, though. ^.^;;;

3. How long have you been using the internet today?

I'm so happy I saw this early in the day, or I'm sure I'd be embarrassed. At the moment, about an hour and half. ^_^

4. Do you believe in giving people second chances?

Yes. I'm hard pressed to think of anything that would prevent me from giving someone another chance. That said, I believe in being incredibly cautious in doing so - the saying "fool you once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." is up there on my list of fave sayings.

5. What would you automatically think of if I said the word "comic"?

I think of those things that people draw with different panels in them, specifically of one that [livejournal.com profile] lithele is drawing for me that's going to be SO ADORABLE (SQUEE) when it's done. ^_^

In completely unrelated news, I'm almost done with the next chapter of Horizon! Yay! ^_^
