Help?

So, I've been trying to figure out what the average recovery time from an abdominal stab wound is. I've been google searching for two hours with no success, and about ready to tear my hair out. If you happen to know, *please* tell me!!!!

EDIT: Never mind. I enlisted the help of the pre-meds down the hall, and we think we've got it figured out. XD

why is it creepy- you need to know all sots of things when you write. you've never read a story where someone got stabbed?
