Anime-Watching Meme

Ganked from bard_linn. Though, as she noted, it's a little deceptive, because many of these I've only seen an episode of, and several of those were by virtue of majority rule at anime club or because someone said to me "YOU'RE WATCHING THIS!" and I said "eek!okayokayokay!". Though, y'know, I've found good stuff both of those ways, too. ^.^;;; Also, issues with this because there's things I've read the manga for but have never watched the anime for. Anyway...

Rules:

Go through the list and check off the titles you have watched. For our purposes, "watching" a title means that for TV and OVA series, you have to have seen at least one episode. For one-shots, you have to have seen the whole thing. At the end of each genre/category, add up your sub-total. At the very end, add up the sub-totals to come up with your grand total. If your grand total is 80 or over, congratulations -- you are an obsessive anime watcher!

An Editor's Note: not all the titles listed here are great, and some are even steaming piles of crap. Titles on the list are here because they are either 1) genuinely good, 2) insanely popular, 3) good examples of the genre, or 4) just plain notorious. Good anime obsessives should be able to watch series with any of those qualities.

O_o *had somehow managed to not realize it was at that many already, especially since I've watched a bunch of shows that aren't listed here, too.* O___o Wow, memories, too. Like, I hadn't thought about Arjuna in ages. *LOL* Probably because I really couldn't stand it. *LOL* Still, good times.

This also makes me want to do a list of "I watched this anime and it was fabulous so people who liked XYZ should also check it out because it's got X element that I think you'll like!!!" I mean, like I commented to Linn, I think anyone who enjoyed both FMA and Kaleido Star would probably like Scrapped Princess. (And the part where I'm tired of only lithele knowing what I'm on about when I'm squeeing over it is completely unrelated.) I also can't say enough good things about Stellvia, which is shockingly under-watched, in my opinion. So... yeah. ^.^;;;;

Cheers to everyone in fifthmus! And super apologies to whoever got my incredibly lame prompts. -_-;;;; I am really excited for whatever you come up with because I ♥ the characters, I just wish I could have given a stronger starting off point, because they were umm... well, if you've got them, you know. XDD Also cheers to the mods, because they are lovely and fabulous.

Anyway yeah, I'm totally with you that there's certain series that are just awesome that are criminally under-watched, or at least, if people are watching it, I sure can't find them! (not that I try all that hard)

As for the results after I did this meme, the only conclusion is that I have absolutely no life. OTL

Read all, watched some--honestly, it can be such a silly series, but that doesn't stop me from fangirling it like crazy-there some of the characters I just love to bits. I'm sort of past my "peak" of fandom for it but I still try to keep up with recent going-ons and stuff~ But holy shit the fandom is huge.

Durh I don't know what to say about it since I don't know how far you've read, but my favorite characters are totally Yamamoto, Dino, and Tsuna, especially when he's in dying will mode. *_* Also, HIBIRD.There's also a lot of REALLY REALLY HOT people jeez. All those guys in suits = ♥

haha maybe?? Though, the few Kaleido Star fans I've stumbled on have been crazy 10 year old girls or something and I've been too scared to try again since. orz Let's not even talk about the completely nonexistent Stellvia or Scrapped Princess fandoms.

If I told you the total you'd think I was lying. DX But, it pretty accurately showed that my least-watched genres were ecchi and sports anime! =D;

Yay for being past peak on it? XD I feel like I'm there myself in some ways. (Was it me, or did the 10 years later thing just throw it out of whack?) Any good fandom recs? I've found only a very little that I liked, although some of my fave authors have gotten into it recently. (And, like, half the Tenipuri fandom. XDDD Because it migrates like no one's business.)

I'm all caught up on the reading, too, and also in major love with some of the characters. ♥ Also! REALLY REALLY HOT!!! ♥ But then, I always had a thing for guys in suits. I met my company's global president last week (HO SHIT SCARY!) and he was wearing this gorgeous suit without a tie and I was stuck sitting there going DAMNIT NO ONE WARNED ME HE WAS HOT!!! and trying not to look like an idiot. >.> Still, mafia men are hot. No, seriously. HOT.

Ooo, true. I poked around in the Scrapped Princess fandom yesterday and was like... there's nothing. Nothing. O_o

Yeah, 10 years later kinda threw it off for me too. The Mukuro arc and the Vongola rings arc were kind of the peak for me, and once it hits the TYL arc it was pretty much mostly training and back-to-back fight scenes, which is the sort of thing I hate in shounen. There's been some fun stuff, enough to make me keep reading, but there's stuff I like way better. D=

I am soooo not surprised the Tenipuri fandom migrated to Reborn--it totally has the crack and all the hot guys. XD And shit, I can't say enough that there are a LOT of them. (It helps that I'm way more into the art style in Reborn than I was for PoT too)

Fandom recs...I'll have to look into my bookmark heap sometime! I know I have some, but mostly they're like oneshots and stuff--there's not much in the way of epic stories I've read in this fandom yet (to my chagrin). But, I unsubscribed to the community last year since it got way too busy for me, so I've probably been missing out on a lot! What I'd REALLY like to see is something with Basil in it because I ♥ him and there's NOTHING. NOTHING. (understandble since he's a minor character but he's so cute!!!)

OMG I totally understand the hot guy in suit weakness OTL It's like shit shit shit must stay professional...!!! At least in manga I can enjoy the suits without shame. XD
