Bravo, that's a far more ambitious approach than I took to the plot. To be honest, it's been bugging me for a while now that Doctor Who has written itself into a corner as regards some of its most important characters, not to mention that the Earth's timeline has begun diverging significantly from reality -- a big problem when your TV show can span 40 years or more of real time.

There are several ways out -- the Osterhagen Key (anagram of Earth's Gone?), this Mr. Copper Foundation, or some sort of additional sacrifice on Donna's part, which has certainly been more than hinted at.

But who shall the Doctor regenerate into?
