laneroseI've found some interesting communities lately - well, I found one and then got pimped to the others by the one, but anyway - and wanted to share.

canon_details is a brand new community to help fanfic writers get their canon details correct. Forget something? Thinking of a scene that you just can't seem to find? Not certain if a detail is ever mentioned or if it's okay for you to make it up? Ask here!!! The list of fandoms that people can help in is really impressive, too.
little_details is for writers in general who are looking to write accurate stories. For instance, I remember frantically searching for details on how to have someone get stabbed in the abdomen, survive, and recover to a normal level of functionality within a matter of months (Tseng? ladylore's mother - a nurse - by asking her this question without making it a proper hypothetical, I can now inquire at this wonderful community as to how to do it. They do non-medical facts, too, this is just an example - if you need to know the number of trees in a park in India, there may be someone who can tell you or find out for you. Very good stuff. ^_^
howdoyousay is a translation assistance group. If you're writing a story with a German character and want them to say "I love you" in their native tongue, or if you're looking to create a spell for fire and want to base it on the Latin word for flames, these are the people to ask. Friendly and extremely helpful!

That's it for communities for now. I'd also like to add some pimpage of CLAMP's Legal Drug manga. I started reading it this weekend and totally love it. Only problem is that there's only three volumes out so far and it, like X, seems to take forever to come out. Grrr. Anyway, it's most enjoyable. ^____^
I have fic to pimp, too, but I think I'm going to work on cosplay / do some readings for class now. Note to self: Prompt selections forhet_challenge are due in two days ~ need to pick at least one *not* to do, and it'd be better if I picked more not to do. (I *really* liked my prompts. XDD) Decide already~!!!
