For my own fics, I decided to explore the idea that maybe Sephiroth is his own person, despite what Cloud believes and what Sephiroth only sometimes says is the truth. Though Cloud doesn't know it, he's starting to suspect. I probably won't ever have him learm Sephiroth's backstory, however. Seph needs to keep some secrets, and Cloud being baffled makes for interesting interaction. XD
