trail_hunter fics are up~~~~!!!!! (Over here!) YAY~~!!!! Some seriously fabulous stuff in there, too, y'all. I think Ghosts was probably my favourite. (Yes, I still need to leave comments. Because I am a lazy, crappy commenter. But I'm going to!!!) Anyway, I thought the Senritsu in it was particularly good, and the Kurapica was very well done, too. (Yes, it's all about the characterization.) ((And the parenthesis.)) Lovely~~. Would say more, but yes, participating and such.

Signed up for khr_undercover. Not that my KHR muses aren't pretty quiet. XD But it'll be fun anyway, and hopefully jump start them again. Yay writing~.

Procrastinating from writing my essays for law school apps and LSAT studying. Probably just as well, because I'm tired, and I've discovered that I'm just awful at writing and the LSATs when I'm tired. This means I will need to plan on getting lots of sleep in law school, clearly. XDD Soooo...~



Step One

Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun to medium to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

Surf around your friends list (or friends of friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Once a wish has been granted, it will be crossed off the list.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. High LSAT score and entry to law school! Yeah, okay, not something that I can be given, per se, but it's what I want the most. If you're friendly with a higher power and could toss a little intercession my way, that'd be awesome~.

2. Letters. Like, classic, hand-written mailed in an envelope letter. Or cards, or whatever. Tell me about your day, your evil toad of a brother, that fic that you're working on - whatever you want to say, yeah? Address is available under f-locked post here, f-locked because I'm just a teensy bit paranoid about giving out my address.

3. A beta-reader for my original novel. I didn't do Nano, so it's particularly slow going, but I'd love having even just someone else to occasionally poke at me and go "Why is there not more of this?" Actual editing would be fabulous, but the other would be great, too!

4. Tazo's Om Tea. I can't find it anywhere and I love it!!! ;_; Alternatively, jasmine tea. Or if you know New York and can tell me where to find either, that'd be good, too. (Zabar's stopped carrying Om. ;_; (I know, CRY MOAR! XD) And I don't know who's reputable in Chinatown.)

5. Fanart for any of my stories~. Because I'm narciscisstic like that. ^.^;;;

6. Fic~~. Tops at the moment because I never really see it (or see it done well so feel free to rec me, too) would be Saiunkoku Monogatari, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Ghost Hunt, Ouran, Tutu, Kaleido Star, NANA, and Tales of the Abyss. But yeah, any of my fandoms~~.

7. Paid LJ time. XD Because I can't give up the icon space. XD

8. An Xbox. Or a PSP or a Nintendo DS. Or tips on where to get any of the above cheap. ^-^;;

9. Do something nice for someone else - even if it's just smiling at someone on the subway (or subway equivalent XD). But spread joy and such, because with the economy the way it is people are really down and could use the pick-me-up.

10. Do something nice for yourself. Try something you've been considering doing, or go get a manicure, or sleep in late. Because making other people smile makes me smile, even if I'm doing it by proxy.

doh we need to have writing sessions again!! I 'tried to do Nano' and got a grand total of 3000 words. =D;;; ahahaha

Sometimes I see good deals for PSP/Xbox/DS's at slick deals but you sort of have to be on the ball and catch really good deals quickly... I have an RSS feed of it XD; I've seen some good DS deals on ebay occasionally too! I try to avoid refurbished stuff especially for Xbox 360's since they have such a horrible history of breaking down XD;; It's probably telling I haven't managed to get myself an xbox 360 or PSP yet.

I've never understood the appeal of massive ~ use, or "spermtails" as they look like when lots of them are together. Can you enlighten me?

I can try...? XD

I use tildes for three things. The first is in place of dashes. I think ~ is prettier than -, and since I like pretty things, I use ~. The second thing is for drawn out sounds. So like, if I were speaking, I would draw out the vowel or sibilant at the end of the word (or the last syllable if it ends in a k or something). I try to write the way I speak, so they're really good for that~! And in the previous sentence there's an example of the third way I use them, which is emphasis. If I were talking, my voice would rise in pitch at the end of that sentence. It's an excited, happy kind of sound made textual by the pretty thing.

Or I'm just crazy. XD Whichever. ^_^
