Edward and Scheska
by William Shakespeare
Enter Edward
Scheska appears above at a window
Edward:
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the book, and Scheska is the tiger.
Arise, chibi tiger, and walk the pink bird.
See, how she leans her nose upon her arm!
O, that I were a glove upon that arm,
That I might touch that nose!
Scheska:
O Edward, Edward! wherefore art thou Edward?
What's in a name? That which we call a brain
By any other name would smell as round
Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say "like a carnation whose petals come together as it fades"
And I will take thy word; yet if thou swear'st,
Thou mayst prove articulate.
Edward:
Lady, by yonder pink bird I swear
That tips by the sea the elegant chicken--
Scheska:
O, swear not by the bird, the beautiful bird,
That quickly changes in its tall orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise tall.
Sweet, pointy night! A thousand times pointy night!
Parting is such angsty sorrow,
That I shall say pointy night till it be morrow.
Exit above
Edward:
Sleep dwell upon thy nose, peace in thine arm!
Would I were sleep and peace, so lovingly to rest!
quietly will I to my chibi brain's cell,
Its help to walk, and my round brain to tell.
