Prince of Tennis

Well, I was going to actually write this weekend. Then I slept away just about all of yesterday (silly of me, but I worked over 12 hours and hadn't slept much this week, so I forgive myself), and then I decided to watch an episode of Prince of Tennis during lunch today. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me, unfortuantely for the stories I'd been planning), Prince of Tennis is every bit as good as it's been hyped to me to be. I seriously just adore all of the characters.

So... umm... one episode turned into twenty and counting, so no fic this weekend.

THERE'S A REASON IT'S ABBREVIATED POT!!

I haven't watched this in a while, (freshman year of college? I took a semester of tennis because of it!) but the characters really are endearing~ Lots of cute personalities and hot guys~ I would totally marry Oishi, stupid hair and all. XD Did you get to the episode where Kaidou was jogging and had all that bad luck? I know it's early there somewhere...but DAMN, one of my favorite episodes. SO spazzy~ ♥

Ah, ok. Then I was going to say that nothing has made me cry as much as Fruits Basket, because Furuba is *so* *beautiful* at it's ending. I watched it with some friends, and they'd seen it before so they knew what was coming. They literally had to pause about half way through so that I would be able to slow my tears and watch the rest, because I was crying too hard to read the subtitles / see the screen.

... So, what did you think? ^.~

well, i'm not especially emotional, but the ending was great. the entire series was well done, and it made me laugh out loud more than i can count. i wish they'd foreshadowed a little more about kyo, since it was only really in the last 3 eps or so that anything was mentioned about his other form, but it ended beautifully.

Yep, the "sudden" factor decreased the impact, but it's just so beautiful! ^.^;;;; The sudden thing is because, as often happens, the manga wasn't finished when the series started. The anime caught up to the manga, and the ending the anime has is the best approximation that provides a sort of ending for where the manga was at that point. (If you'll notice, the main conflict - that whole turning into animals, and the plot with Akira - is never resolved in the anime.) But yeah, it's awesome!!! ^_________^
