ZOMG! I totally know what you mean about the cute little hi-potion supply depot. ♥ I was so sad when he left. ;_; But yes. I felt like all of the characters had a lot of good potential, and a lot of good story to them, and then like the authors kept throwing it away. For instance, the moment where Balthier tells Asch about Cid being his father. I couldn't help thinking how if it were Abyss, that fact would have been hinted at, and then have been revealed to the audience at some sort of critical moment where Cid was in the room, because that's insanely more dramatic than just having someone mention it while they're walking down the coast.

Yeah. Abyss spoiled us all, I think. ^^;;;
