We can vent about the cliffie together later then. XD And wow, it's nice to hear that Abyss has a high ratio of good stuff on FFN. That's such a rare thing for any fandom I tried in the past. @_@ I'm happy to see that author whose story you recced me has a bunch more Abyss oneshots, so that'll be a happy afternoon of reading for me~ Yeah, no OTP here! All the characters have such great dynamics with each other. And yeah, I totally agree, Guy/Natalia is the only one I've seen so far I just can't get into. Though I don't really like Jade/Dist stuff too, now that I think of it.
...good point. Good het is as hard to find as gen. I automatically skip over stuff with Mary Sues or high school etc. so I never seem to count them. And FF7 and PoT pairing stuff is CRAZY. Please never do that Abyss fandom. ;__; Usually the fandom needs to get pretty big before it gets like that at least. Princess Tutu fandom has stayed small and has reasonable pairing stuff. Still can't find much I feel like reading in it though. XD;;
I'll check the FFX stuff out~ I haven't looked very hard, but I remember anything good I found was oneshot and usually sad. My quick scan of FFX-2 fic did not raise my spirits. I just want a happy end for them at the end of it all, it's not much to ask! Preferably with a plot. XD; I'm just too demanding.
