I was really worried that they wouldn't feel right to anyone but me, especially since I'm not even sure that Luke would keep his self-deprecating tendencies - I've been waffling about it. ^^;;; And yes, Jade is *totally* Luke's mentor even if he only admits it under extreme duress. (But he does admit it, which puts him leagues above some I can think of. ^^;;) And HAPPINESS~!!!! that you took the same interpretation of the ending. What little fic I've found seems to spin that Luke comes back either with Asch in his head as a separate personality or all by himself... but I remember something in canon about memory transfer, and this just feels more right to me. Unless, you know, Asch returned as well - in which case, I could accept Luke not knowing anything.
